About Skylar Lin

Skylar Lin is a film editor whose work spans narrative, documentary, and experimental films. She is a Film Independent Fellow and an Associate Member of the Television Academy. Lin’s credits include editing the National Geographic feature documentary Asia’s Housing Experiments and serving as an Assistant Editor on the 2026 Emmy-nominated Netflix series Turning Point: The Vietnam War.​

Her recent projects include the short film Pack, which screened at the 2026 Slamdance Film Festival, and the experimental short Ugh, shortlisted for the 2025 Berlinale and officially selected for 2026 Curta Cinema, and Where the Mountain Women Sing, which premiered at the 2024 Fantasia International Film Festival.​​

Lin’s passion for storytelling is deeply connected to her love for travel, which has taken her to diverse filming locations worldwide. In 2024, she filmed a tourism commercial in Akita, Japan, and worked on a documentary in the Navajo Nation. Lin enjoys being on set, as it gives her a deeper understanding of the story and its characters by immersing herself in the filming atmosphere.
